What a good start to 2010!

What a great couple days of 2010! We've had good weather.. and Mel and I found out we are going to be grandparents again! From what Melody (Mel's daughter) says, baby is due sometime around the mid to the end of August. We are excited. But then.. I am always excited about a new baby to the family. As Melody says.. it is our job as grandparents to spoil.. and we do it so well :)

Meantime..Mel has been riding my cycle (Yamaha 200) to get use to riding again.. He did finally admit~ He is kinda rusty.. it has been awhile :)

I should have grabbed the movie camera.. but would HATE if he did that to me.. BUT! I am learning how to start it now. hehehe Yeah pretty illerate when it comes to motor-cycles.

I always rode on the back of the bikes.. not in the drivers seat. Mel hasn't taken his bike off the trailer yet, it is all tied down and for now, he can practice on my bike. He did remember.. it is not easy driving a cycle at a walkers pace.

Yesterday we went to Ponce Inlet to Lighthouse Point Park and walked around. We walked down the beach where we were watching a man throw in a fishing net. So we stayed and watched him for a bit then I took a picture of him.. then down through the mangrove trees to the other side of the spit and took a picture of the light house and marina from there. Came back through.. (which glad we didn't doddle) as the tide was coming back in and we would have had to make a swim for it! But we didn't :)

Then I walked out onto the warf and out to the end where the jetty was. It was really pretty and I was watching them all fish.. saw a couple guys that had caught a "sheephead" fish. The BEST was watching all the dolphins roll and swim around. They must have had a great school of fish.. even the pelicans were there diving head first into the water. It was just awesome. If I were to do anything this trip to Florida.. it would have been to swim with the dolphins again! And I want you to know.. that would have been great no matter how cold it was out.

Anyway. I did get some great shots and for some reason tonight the blogger isn't working great. So when it does work.. I promise to stick some photos on here.
