Yuma..

Well we are still in Yuma.. at least until the end of Feb. Then we will start making our way back to Spokane. I told Mel.. I might be like a horse headed for the barn.. and just GO... I miss my puppies.. Molly and Charlie Brown. They are my Siberian's..Molly is black and white and is the mother to CB.. he is called "red" color.. and he has the party eyes.. half blue half brown.. It looks like he is glaring at you! But he is a big ole baby!Molly is the lover.. but I think if push came to shove.. she would be the one to watch out for.. oh and she loves to "snort" in ears... lol.. just ask Bob Lewis!
Anyway we are thinking of going back one of two ways.. up through Phoenix and Las Wages and up.. or maybe along I-95.. then there is always 395 up or even 101.. So many options.. I am thinking maybe the way up is the way we came down..
I have been making (by hand) a bunch of little girl dresses for summer.. They aren't hard and they are actually turning out kinda cute :) I plan to give some to Karli and some to Athena. And I plan to make a few little things for the 2 babies due in June and August. We did find out Kelley and Tammy are having a little girl. Now to find out about Alex and Melody's baby.. I hope a little girl.. but little boys are pretty awesome too in my book.. seeings how I had 4 of them!
Guess tomorrow we are going to make a trip down to Mexico.. I plan to spend a little time there shopping.. I saw a lot of neat stuff last time we were there. This time.. I plan to buy :) (poor Mel) Well I don't plan to spend THAT much.. :)
I have been doing really good riding my motorcycle.. I got into about a foot deep sand the other day.. had a stupid pickup coming towards me.. no place to go and all I could think of was "Crap".. then I remember what Bob said.. (and he does.. say a lot!) when you get into deep sand.. go faster. So I did..I fish-tailed a wee bit.. but got through it (holding my breath also) okay and didn't fall! Thanks for the tip Bob! It has saved me more then once out there in the sand! I can hardly wait to get home and take them up to Priest Lake.. there are so many back trails and places to ride. I can hardly wait! This year we ARE going to spend more time up there. We are't getting any younger ya know. We want to put an addition on the place and have a awesome bedroom.. it will be super when it (ever) gets done!
Well going to stop for now.. Who knows.. I might write more later..
You all take care..

I DID IT....I DID IT.. YEAH.. I DID it.. all by myself too!

Today I rode my motorcycle. It is just a little Yamaha 200 but hey I can put my feet on the ground.. and ,, TA DA... I drove it all by my self!! The first time I did it.. I didn't stall it! I did a couple times but that was later. What I AM having trouble with.. is finding the NEUTRAL on this thing. But.. I'll make it.. I drove down the road and did circles and back and forth.. I did good. Now it is just plain ole practice.
We may be leaving here (Yuma) and heading into Phoenix.. I really REALLY want to go to "Out of Africa", and do a couple days of taking pictures. It is like one of my favorite places :) It will be a different view.. different things to do and we need to get a few more things done to the RV.. like brakes. We have decided that having them on the rv might be nice. One nice thing is the trailer has electronic brakes so it will help break the rv. Anyway.. Well probably go bug kelley and Tammy for a few more days till the brakes are done.
Meantime.. We went to a flea market this weekend.. I got my grand daughter a darling cute dress! I got my great niece one also.. I am also sewing a few little sun dresses for the girls. It keeps my hands busy. I wish I had my sewing machine.. I bought a little one for the rv.. but it isn't the greatest. I need to do a few adjustments. Hopefully it will work.. or I will keep an eye out for a used one.
Tomorrow I am going over to order my bicycle.. Looking forward to that. I need to ride.. do something.. be active.. I have lots of places out behind us to ride.. or I will ride around and around the park here. Anyway.. Looking forward to that. I am still looking for a basket for Jaxe.. I will let her run for awhile.. but she will need a basket when I ride for very long.. or very far. Anyway I am ready for my bike.
So.. I guess for tonight I will stop here.. not lots happening as it is the weekend.. ya know football and all that :)
You all take care..

WOW.. what a storm!

Boy it poured buckets today.. it didn't just rain.. it poured. We had wind with gusts up to 65 mph and even had a tornado watch till 10pm tonight. Roads were closed.. they were asking truckers NOT to be on the road.. a few did.. and... a few flipped to the side, and probably wished they had listened to the reports.
Jax-e well she wasn't to happy about having to go out in the wind.. but the rain didn't bother her.. as she on purpose walked through all the puddles. I could just picture her with little yellow boots on.. splashing and playing in the water. There is also personal stuff, IE:rugs, yard stuff all over the roads in the park. Okay so this is the worst storm in ages.. I get it.. Sure glad this is now the end of the storms. Mel hasn't been able to get out and ride and I haven't been able to learn to ride. Which I plan to do as soon as the rain is gone and it is back to Yuma weather :)
We did find a little hole in the wall restaurant.. Kodiak.. fish and chips. And it was really good.. well the fish was super fresh and good tarter sauce too. We will be back, they do other kinds of fish too and open for dinner. :)
Well everyone.. I will write again later..
you all take care..

Rain...and Mexico...

This morning it was blue sky and a light wind. I did up the breakfast dishes.. did laundry and about noonish.. we took off to go to Mexico. It was kind of windy and overcast then.. but in the 60s. Glad I brought a sweat shirt.
This is the plan.. just run across the boarder.. buy my pills.. buy Athena and Karli a dress and then.. come back into the states. We walked into Mexico without a care in the world.. We bought my pills, then walked around the open markets.. boy everyone wants to bargain.. Anyway bought one little dress.. Saw others that I liked.. but will buy another one at a later date. We walked around the block and people were starting to line up.. so we walked over to the LINE..We were quite aways back.. but it seemed to be moving at least. THEN.. about an hour in.. the rains came.. we were under a screen that would protect you from the sun.. but still let the rain come through.. all thought not as bad as just standing in the rain. THEN.. THEN it cooled, the rains came in torrents and people were trying so hard to stay dry.. Needless to say.. they sold a semi full of blankets for $5.00 I felt really good.. I actually found a pretty blue one. They were asking for &.00 but she finally just gave then for 5.. She didn't know how to make change for $7.00 from a 10 or 20. Anyway.. warmth.. I was huddled next to Mel under his sweatshirt.. and I know he was getting cold.. he is so hard to warm up once he is cold.. but I loved the warmth. I had a t-shirt on.. the lady behind me had a short sleeved white shirt on and was as soaked as I.. So I shared my blanket with her.. she wanted to buy a blanket but they never made it back to the front of the line. She was shivering.. I was glad I could share my blanket.. I wish it would have been bigger.. I would have shared it with others around me. My sweatshirt I left in the car.. after all wasn't going to be gone that long! ALWAYS take a sweatshirt.. you just never know..
Mel actually didn't say anything when I cranked the car heat to 75!
We stopped on the way back home at Famous Dave's.. an okay BBQ place.. had dinner.. froze running out to the car.. cranked the heat.. got home and cranked the heat! I got Mel under the blankets and I took Jaxe out to the dog run.. NOW SHE is under her puppy blanket.. warming up and trying to dry off. We'll go back. But we know when is the best times to go now!
Well you all take care and will write more later :) (I hear 2 more days of ucky weather!)

IT'S WINDY!!

Sure glad our little RV is sheltered by a large trailer/RV on each side.. we rock.. but not as we would if out in the open! We have 3 more days of ucky weather.. but even so.. it was still 70 out today. The dust is down because it rained last night.. boy it poured like crazy for awhile. Then it just stopped :) for the day.

I will probably start learning to ride my little motorcycle.. Mel got me a little Yamaha 200.. all though I also plan to get a bicycle, since I have found a shortcut to the grocery store. ANYTHING but drive on these roads.. crazy.. CRAZY drivers!! There are a lot of Washington people here in our rv park http://westwindrvgolfresort.com/aboutus.php. But today I checked out the ceramic and Lapidary rooms. Pretty cool. One lady that makes jewlery is fantastic at it.. she has lots of beautiful stuff. They also have a small golf course here.. I might join the ladies beginning classes.. Mel can go back to basices also and golf some. It is small but big enough for me. Then when the storms pass.. I might go do the water aerobics. But.. I have time :)

Mel has been riding his cycle out into the desert.. We have lots of desert out behind us.. so the riding is great.. and Jaxe gets to go out and just trot all over. Today Mel took my Yamaha out.. it has the fat tires, so he could go a little easier in the sand. One of these days I will go learn to drive.. I get going.. I may not get back without walking it.. afraid to turn or to stop.. grin. Ahh I can do it.. So far Yuma seems to be okay.. miss Charlie Brown and Molly more then ever.. but will see them soon.

There have been some pretty just ruby red sunsets.. really pretty. This picture I had to climb up on top of the rv and take.. It was actually quite pretty once you get above RV city.. boy the population of Yuma must quadruple in the winter here and I hear that it is even worse come February! man.. How can that many people stay in one little town.. It just amazes me! I don't see how the people that live here can still be so nice.. They must be on tranquilizers.
Well this week we plan to go see AVATAR and get our permit to ride cycles out on the Barry Goldwater range .. and then I might look into getting the bike I want.
So you all have an awsome week.. you all take care.. and I will write more..

YUMA ARIZONA.. warmth.. sunshine and I got my computer back!

Sorry about not writing.. I tried to use Tammys computer.. but everytime I logged on, it would take me to her blog. Our RV was in the shop getting a new carb and muffler.. and the carb was being a pain.. finding the proper parts.
Anyway we are in Yuma now.. it is nice.. it is 10pm and the door is still open! I will write more tomorrow, today I am just so darn tired.
You all take care.. Keri

Schulenberg Texas.. east of San Antiono

IT IS FRIGGEN COLD!! It got to like 35 degrees today but had a nasty wind.. then it was over cast.. it was cold.. it was nasty! Right now.. 11:00pm it is 26 degrees and who knows .. with the wind chill. I always thought Butte Montana had the record for umm bad drivers.. we had this SUV cut between us and another SUV and missed us by mere inches.. he was going so fast when he swerved into the front of us.. he almost him the passenger fender then ALMOST rolled his car.. After he got by us.. he pulled ahead of the suv beside us.. and got over and actually slowed down. Man the people down here are in one horrible big hurry to get from point a to b.. crazy drivers.. There have been a few other close calls while in Texas.. but nothing like that one! I guess they don't value their lives very much.. OH and the loose dogs on the freeway.. so.. walking.. other with the doggie god.. I have never seen so many dog along the freeway. It really pisses me off.. if they are going to have a puppy.. fence it.. chain it.. value it's life. How hard is that. GRRRRRR I know when my dogs get out.. I have a fit. I just hate loose dogs. They need to make shackles for them so they can't run if they get out. (well mine anyway!)
We had thought of spending the day touring the ALAMO.. but we think we will stick that on our bucket list and make way to warmer weather!
Well folks.. night and ya all take care.. will write later on..
